Tattoo?
So...im thinking of getting a tattoo, ive been waiting one for about 2 years but before i was too young and my mother would have killed me but now im over 18 i dont need parental permisson so i thought why not??

PROBLEM is, i dont really know where to get one for starters. I thought about the bottom of my back but thats on the spine and i heard that getting tattoo's on the bone really reeeeally hurt. I was thinking near my hip bone but obviously not ON it, though i always thought it was better to get a tattoo where you have a little fat, problem is i DONT HAVE any fat!So im prety buggered from the start. PLUS when i get pregnant in the far far far future i dont really want the tattoo to be totally streched out.

AND im not sure what to get done, i want something meaningful. Not something that i will think 'wtf?' when im older and wiser. I always thought i would want something that denoted strength because i really think im a strong person, but i dont want a big massive thing as i dont think they are feminine at all.

SO anyone who's got any tattoo's or anyone who designs or anything would be appreciated in replying to this post. I really wan tot get this done but i dont want to go into this compleatly blind to what im doing. Cuz once this thing is done im not going to be able to get it removed.

I had 2 friends with tattoos in high school/college. One had an elemental yin-yang across her shoulder blades (sun/water, dolphins, the whole nine yards). The other had vines with some strawberries on the outside of her leg just above the ankle that was visible but still fairly small. I liked the second one better personally, and something warm like strawberries or butterflies is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of you and your personality.

Honestly as a personal preference though I hate tattoos. I don't like how they mark up bodies that are beautiful without it or the health risks in some of the inks and how they cause problems with some health tests. That frightens me. Not to mention the cost and scarring if the littlest thing goes wrong and it's removed later. I never thought they were worth it.

Yeah, the small thing is deffinatly what im going for. I dont think that girls with big massive tattoos or tattoos all over the place look nice at all. I think something small would look much more feminie and honestly i love looking like a girl so im not going to go out of my way to make myself look or feel otherwise. Plus i want it to be coverable incase i get a job where they dont look favourably on it. I just dont want some random thing tatooed on my body, ive seen people get poetic quotes that mean something to them personally tattooed on but im more of an image person, they always say more than words can to me.

I dont tend to bother with things like health and that, i always think im going to die one day so i can't worry about these little things. If done right i dont think they take away from the beauty of a body, when people go over the top i have to agree, they look awful but when its danity and pretty i think they add to a person. Ah see thats where im lucky to live in England, they remove them for free on the national health service. But im deffinatly going to make sure that if i do get one i go to someone with a really good reputation so that there is little risk of it going wrong.

First off, I got both hips done. It.. fucking.. hurts.
If you dont think you can handle it --don't get it done.

I waited a full 15 YEARS before I got my first one done. I knew by then that I would never tire of it. And I won't. I love my design so much.

Second... wait at least a full year before getting the damn thing. Please don't go out to get one just because you want one. You are on the right track in the not wanting to have it where people can see it. And you don't want one just to have one.

What do you like. What is meaningful to you? Is it anime related? Or lolita related? What have you liked for more than five years? Think in terms of that.

I didn't take any suggestions from anybody, but who's to say you have to do the same.

*shrugs* That's my take on it. Hope it helps. Love you lots, miss you lots.

First of all my first tattoo was directly running down my spine and it didn't hurt at all. In fact it felt more like a deep tissue massage. Four are on my rib cage and two are on my hip bone. I didn't really think any of them hurt but when I got my side done it hurt as they went over the kidney's so you might just want to keep that in mind
